Happy New Year!
Not quite a disco ball, but this chandelier from Property would make any dinner party chic and festive!
Hope your New Year's Eve plans are equally chic and fabulously festive!
2012 has been a great year for me! I can't wait to see what 2013 brings!
Cheers!

A Holiday Dinner for Two
After celebrating an early Thanksgiving with family in Seattle last weekend, Tim and I were home for our first holiday as a married couple...also the first holiday meal prepared by yours truly! (Thank you to Tim for doing the grocery shopping!)
Early in the week we decided on the menu:
- Cornish Game Hens
- My Mom's Green Beans
- Tim's Mom's Sweet Potatoes
- Pumpkin Meringue Pie
I can honestly say it was a success!
The food tasted as good as it looked.
Everything came out of the oven about the same time.
We enjoyed our quiet little holiday together.
While, for me, the holidays will always be about time with family, I think this year we got the best of both worlds...Thanksgiving celebrated early with family and celebrated again at home just the two of us (and Otto in his bow tie, of course).
Cheers! To a fabulous holiday season filled with family, great food, and a few quiet moments with those you love most!

Bavarian Cremes and White Feather Boas
One of Tim's absolute favorite things about Seattle is Top Pot Donuts. Every time we're in town we have at least a couple, and almost every time I go to Seattle without Tim I bring some back on the plane for him. They really are the best donuts ever. It seemed fitting that they be a part of our wedding day.
So, we decided instead of a Groom's Cake we would have a table of Top Pot Donuts (artfully arranged by Hailey, of course). Top Pot worked with us on a large order of donuts that incorporated our favorite flavors and matched our color scheme, and as expected the donuts were devoured!

Pretty Paper
Long before the food and florals were sorted out, we dove into the design of our stationery suite. Brittany O'Brien of Dolce Design guided us through the entire process from Save the Dates to Invitations to Escort cards, table numbers, and Thank You notes. She listened to every request we made, patiently made change after change until it was just right, and kept everything on schedule even through the flooding of her house. Her work was recently in Martha Stewart Weddings and she truly deserves the recognition. I can't wait to work with her again on another fun project! Holiday cards maybe...!?
